Slight variations in materials and components can save you production dollars and make your laser more effiecient. At Davis Marketing International, we've worked on 1000s of projects and experienced the entierty of 100s of successful project lifecycles. We know how to take a project from R&D material and components to production and beyond. Check out our materials below and then contact us. We'd love to lend our experience to your project.

Potassium Niobate (KTP)

KTP (Potassium Titanyl Phosphate, KTiOPO4) is a nonlinear optical material which combines excellent nonlinear and electro-optic properties. It has a relatively high damage threshold, large optical nonlinearity and excellent thermal stability.

Lithium Triborate (LiB3O5)

Lithium Triborate or LBO is a non-linear optics crystal. It has a wide transparency range, moderately high nonlinear coupling, high damage threshold and desirable chemical and mechanical properties. This crystal is often used for second harmonic generation.

Beta-Barium Borate (β-BaB2O4)

β-BaB2O4 is a negative uniaxial crystal, with ordinary refractive-index larger than extraordinary refractive-index. With a wide transparency, moderately high nonlinear coupling, a high damage threshold, and good chemical and mechanical properties, Beta-Barium Borate are powerful for generating widely tunable coherent radiation for UV and IR lasers.

Additional Nonlinear Optical Materials

BiBO

BiBO offers a large effective nonlinear coefficient, high damage threshold, and a wide temperature bandwidth. The crystal is ideal for for the SHG, OPO, and Electro-optic applications.

KLN

The KLN crystals exhibit a high second-harmonic generation efficiency. These crystals are grown by the Czochralski technique and are high quality and crack free.

BaTiO3

BaTiO3 is a very unique crystal with superior photo-refractive and ferroelectric properties. BaTiO3 is available in substrate grade and photo refractive grade BaTiO3 single crystal.

Crystal Refurbishment

Crystal Refurbishment

Solid State Laser gain, and Nonlinear materials are costly components, and being crystals, in most cases will last for the life of the system. When laser systems need maintenance, these crystals can be re-polished and coated for a fraction of the cost of a new crystal. You can save significant amounts of money by refurbishing and resurfacing material rather than replacing it. Lead time is typically 2 weeks, but can be expedited when needed to keep down time to a minimum.

Crystals reworked include Nd: YAG, Ruby, Ti:AlO2O3, KTP, LBO, BBO and many others!
